THOMAS
LEER
Synthesizer experimenter Thomas Leer recorded several electro-pop
albums in his home studio in the early '80s during the height
of new wave. His Kraftwerk-influenced 1979 debut effort, The
Bridge, was a joint project with Robert Rental, credited to
both. Leer debuted as a solo artist with the white soul-inflected
4 Movements EP (1981) and the LP Contradictions (1982), which
were compiled on Letter From America.
